    Shikhar Shilanyas

We were at the pinnacle of the new Mandir construction on Shikhar Shilanyas day after 28 months of Khanan Vidhi. We were ecstatic as we had our Dream Mandir standing in front of us. Now, we knew that the Vedi Shilanyas and Panch kalyanak Pratishtha Mahotsav were just round the corner. The Shikhar Shilanyas Vidhi was undertaken by our respected Br. Sh. Hemantbhai Gandhi. In this Vidhi, the foundation stone was laid of the Grandeur Marble Shikhar (Pinnacle) of the newly constructed Sh. Simandharswami Digambar Jin Mandir. Shikhar is epitome of purity which Shree Vitragi Dev-Shastra-Guru represents and taught to us by our venerable Gurudevshree and Mataji. It was a Vidhi wherein every mumukshu had to go 40 feet above the ground level and put their brick marking their contribution to the making of the new Shikhar Bandhi temple. All the overjoyed Mumukshu’s from Mandir participated in this event.

The day finally came… Mumukshus from all over India came to see the place where in future a mandir would be seen. The magnificient Bhoomi Shilaniyas Mahotsav Vidhi was undertaken by our respected Br. Sh. Vajubhai Shah (Wadhwan) and Br. Sh. Hemantbhai Gandhi (Songadh). The Shilanyas Vidhi – foundation stone laying ceremony was the first and significant step to the new Sh. Simandharswami Digambar Jin Mandir project.

On the auspicious day, a copper box containing 8 large engraved copper plates were buried under the foundation. The objective of these plates were to preserve historic informations about the eternal Jain religion and hierarchy of Teerthankars and saints. We also buried 9300 Pravchans of Pu.Gurudevshree’s burnt on weatherproof C.D. which can last for more than 200 years.

It was a Vidhi wherein every mumukshu had to go 40 feet below the ground level and put their Golden or Silver brick marking their contribution to the making of the new temple. There was an overwhelming response from more than 2700 mumukshus who attended the function and participated in the brick ceremony of the temple.

Vedi Pratishtha of Sh. Bahubali Munidra Bhagwan

Khadgaasan Bahubali Munindra Bhagwan is a symbolic deity for any Digambar Jin Mandir. We were blessed in 2009 with sacred arrival of Sh. Bahubali Munindra Bhagwan. We grew in numbers exponentially & the area of the chaityalaya was becoming smaller to accomodate huge crowd of devotees. Thus all the mumukshus of the mandal had a burning desire for an idependent shikhar bandhi Temple.
